Alfar Limited Edition Organic Arbequina is a monovarietal extra virgin olive oil produced by Alfar La Maja in Mendavia, Navarre. Made exclusively from organically grown Arbequina olives, it is part of the mill's special productions and is intended to showcase the qualities of this variety with particular clarity.
Caring for the olive grove and selecting the fruit are fundamental to achieving a fresh and clean oil. During production, the goal is to preserve the naturally aromatic character of the Arbequina, obtaining an organic EVOO in which delicacy, fruity nuances, and an especially pleasant texture predominate.
On the nose, it offers aromas of fresh fruit, with hints of apple and banana that are complemented by notes of almond and light herbaceous sensations. Its passage through the mouth is smooth and fluid, with a slightly sweet entry and a very discreet bitterness. The pungency appears subtly at the end, providing freshness and balance without altering the gentle character of the whole.
Due to its delicate profile, it is especially versatile for enjoying raw. It pairs very well with toast, salads, vegetables, fish, and mild cheeses, and is also suitable for vinaigrettes, sauces, and pasta dishes. It can also be used in baking and preparations where the aim is to incorporate EVOO without adding excessively intense flavors.
