LaSolana2 Picual is an organic extra virgin olive oil produced by a small family business in Campo Cisnares, within the Almerian municipality of Oria. Its olive groves are located at an altitude of about 1,100 meters, in an environment with unique climatic conditions that help define the character of this EVOO.
The oil is made exclusively from Picual variety olives sourced from organic and regenerative farming. The fruit is harvested early, while still green and at its optimal moment, and is processed shortly after harvest using cold extraction. Production is carried out in limited quantities and the bottles are numbered, reinforcing the careful and traceable nature of each batch.
Sensory-wise, it is an EVOO with a marked green character. On the nose, aromas of freshly cut grass, olive leaf, and tomato plant appear, accompanied by hints of fig tree and other vegetal nuances. On the palate, it has body and intensity, with the bitterness and pungency characteristic of the Picual variety present in a balanced way. Its finish is fresh and persistent, leaving a prolonged vegetal sensation after tasting.
Its intensity makes it especially suitable for enjoying raw, where it can showcase its full aromatic potential. It is an excellent choice for toast with tomato, salads, vegetables, and legumes, as well as for accompanying meats, fish, cheeses, and dishes with pronounced flavors.
