O-Med Organic Hojiblanca 1L is an organic extra virgin olive oil produced by O-Med in Ácula, Granada. The García-Casas family oversees the entire process, from cultivating the olive trees to extraction, aiming to capture the freshness and personality of the freshly harvested olive in the oil.
This product is made with organically grown Hojiblanca, a variety that offers aromatic oils with an interesting combination of green and fruity notes. Its profile lies between the delicacy of milder varieties and the intensity of those with more bitterness and pungency, resulting in an EVOO with character that is very well-balanced.
On the nose, fresh sensations of grass, leaves, and green olives predominate, accompanied by fruity and vegetal nuances. On the palate, it has a pleasant entry that evolves into a well-integrated bitterness and pungency, leaving a fresh and persistent finish.
It is an excellent choice for use raw on toast, salads, tomatoes, and vegetables. It also pairs very well with fish, pasta, cream soups, legumes, and various Mediterranean dishes. The 1-liter tinprotects the oil from direct exposure to light and offers a convenient format for regular use.
